Cedarhurst of Collinsville hosted a Wine & Cheese Social and Food Drive to benefit the Collinsville Area Ministerial Association (CAMA) Food Pantry & Helping Hands Ministries, on Wednesday, November 9th. Residents, their families and guests from the community enjoyed live entertainment – including some dancing, a variety of cheeses, hors d’oeuvres as well as a selection of both California and other regional wines.
Several local businesses made contributions of products, gift certificates, baskets and other items to be raffled off for the Food Pantry. A highlight was wine signed and autographed from Trout Street Wines, owned by Marc Fletcher (son of Cedarhurst Resident Violet Fletcher and the late great CHS legend, Vergil Fletcher).
Thanks to the generosity of our residents and guests, Cedarhurst will be presenting a check as well as nice offering of non-perishable food items to the CAMA Food Pantry for use this holiday season. Cedarhurst will continue to collect non-perishable food, personal hygiene and monetary donations through December 15, 2011.
